My daughter and son both slept in my room with me until they were nearly 7 months old. Since both woke up for a feeding at least once a night til then, it was easier and I felt better having them that close. As for bassinet to crib...if you feel the baby needs the space of a crib, then it is time to move. However, if she has room and is not crying or complaining whenever you lay her down, then she is fine. My oldest actually never had a real crib...she had a pack and play (we didn't have space in our tiny first apartment for a real crib) and then she went to a double mattress on the floor. There was plenty of room for me to lay down with her and read to her at bed time and no chance of her falling when she tried to climb out (both my kids where climbers and escape artists)!

My daughter was almost 4 months old. That depends on hers and your needs. Does she still fit in the bassinet? I wanted my baby in my room as long as possible(that is where the bassinet was). She had stopped breathing 3 times as a newborn. When I made the switch, I started w/ her naps in her crib. Also slept w/ the monitor on my pillow at night. LOL!

I put my daughter in her crib when she outgrew the weight limit for the bassinet. For mine it was 13 lbs. I think she was about 7 weeks old. She also started sleeping all night when she was in her crib.

mine went into a cot in their own room at 7 months. Wait till she grows out of her bassinette before moving her. If she is too noisy in your room move her in her bassinette into her own room

When you are comfortable with her being in her own room. If she can sense that your tense and uneasy about the move she may be too. Try letting her sleep in the bassinet in her own room @ nap time to get her use to sleeping in a different locale.

Our little girl has been sleeping in her own room & bed since 1 1/2 mths. She has always been comfortable in there, I wish we would have been putting her in there from day one! I would think you could start putting her in her room as soon as you want.
