Lack of understanding.
90% of Hindus do not even know what the religion is all about. All they and everyone else knows is that Hinduism is about elaborate worships, complicated cultures, funny and even gruesome looking idols of millions of Gods and Godesses.
One who understands Hinduism and the Vedic tradition will just gasp in awe at it's magnificent traditions.

Because christianity is a very accomodating Religion and
very simalar to the Hindu concepts but in a more sophisticated Form.A regular Hindu believes in many Gods
Christianity helps him to narrow his belief to three Gods.Hindus Believe in the concept of Anthromophism where
God takes form of a human being and visits the earth and get
to know the indept feelings of Humans, The Christian Believes in the same Concept of God comming down to earth
The Hindu believes thet God has a Family Structure like sons
Daughters wives etc But christians have limited God to only
one begotten son and one mother [ Holy mary mother of God;]
HIndus God Idols look very prehistoric but fortunately
christian God Idols are well sculputered and Human like.
Hindu Cuisine is very limited, christianity offers a wide range
of delicious mouth watering dishes which includes Pork.
Hinduism is very conservative but christianity offers a better
pacakage with a qurantee,enjoy Alcohol, drugs, Adultry before marriage, mistresses after marriage and many other
perks and all you need to do at the end is believe that Jesus
[ pbuh] died for their sins and lo and behold the Gates of
heaven open up for them.Hindus wear tikkas and mangalsutras and the christian women of India also Follow
Suit.It is become a fashion in india for Christian Girls to Marry
Hindu Boys.There is lot of inter community action between
christians and Hindus especially where Hindus sit comfortable in front of the Christians aunties and their daughter and their daughter in laws in their homes and
consume Alcohol,as christians are the forerunners for the sale
of this mindboggling beverage,I can go on and on but these
are some of the Similarities and concessions that hindus find
to be comfortable with christianity.

because hinduism is more of a culture, and tradition rather an true explination of life and god. They turn to chrisitianity to be saved, something to give more hope. believable explination there is a creator. As opposed to why they are not becoming muslim is the fact that religion played a strong role in what divided the country in the first place. There are a considerable amount of muslims living in india but still. Pakistan is an islamic country and they are at war with india. Some muslim people in India consider themselves pakistani.
There are alot of churches established in india, due to british rule and american influence. This playes the most important role why, if they would choose a religion, it would be christianity

Well I look at it like this - very simple. Either you become one of them which means you're destined to explode at any moment or you can go to church every Wednesday and Sunday and give them your money and look at your wife without a veil across her face. WTF is with that anyways?.
