I just bough a new HP Touch smart Pc that came fully loaded with windows vista.....Only it wont allow me to upload my old printer/scanner's....photo shop....all of my old windows hardware....so what do i do? do they have a converting program? or do i have to buy a new scanner...printer...new photo software????

There is a program on the Vista DVD which will help you transfer your files and settings from your old computer but it won't help you with the drivers for your hardware.

The problem with your printer and scanner is that there might not be VISTA drivers for it yet. If the printer and scanner are still new and come from a tier one company you should check their website to see if they have released vista drivers for the hardware.
You can check if your hardware is on the Vista compatibility list. The best source of information is still the manufacturer of the hardwares site but if they don't have any info the HCL will hopefully help you. http://winqual.microsoft.com/HCL/
As software goes it is very difficult to say. The company who wrote the software might bring out a patch for the software you are using which will allow it to run on Vista but they might also not. thye might just release a new version that you have to buy. As far as I know Adobe Photoshop CS2 will work on windows vista.

Vista has backward support soo i dont think u need to change printer or scanner.What exactly error its shows.you may try motherboard update (for port usb or parallal port).
explain in detail what error it shows or is vista detect those hardware or not.
