ok ...so at college i know this really beutiful girl who is very smart, and really nice heaps of guys would love to go out with her yet she hardly ever gets approached by guys. WHY?

Guys are probably intimidated by her, and think that they'll be turned down. Guys don't like to be turned down.

Beautiful and visibly smart are two adjectives that, unfortunatelly, not usually go together. I'm not saying that most beautiful girls are dumb, but they don't show their intelligence that much, so boys don't have problems approaching them. But if this girl proves she's smart, boys might believe she will see them as a bunch of brainless losers and no one likes to feel turned down on that basis.

A lot of guys get intimidated. If a girl is beautiful and smart and everything else like that...Guys think she's too good for them and get way too intimidated to approach her. Sounds stupid...But that's how guys are.

Maybe she is avoiding the annoyance of a guy while her studies are at the crucial time in her life---too much pressure to learn and live without guys all over her. Find a girl who doesn't have the pressures and maybe you too can get a date.

Thats where every guys insecurity comes in. You think yeah shes great. but most guys think hot girls are high maintence and you always have to please them. (i hope its not true) And every guy is brought in this world with the same mind set about finded the hottest chick but when they do, jealosy can become a major factor and being scared of being hhurt playsa major part. when she goes to the bar is she gonna find someone better than me, and just leave me broken hearted. my advice for your friend is to maybe pay someone to hit her in the face with a shovel or uhhh talk to the guy herself
