what makes you think you'll like a ribon more than a star? is there a particular reason that you want that? because it is a wrist tattoo you should really be careful about what you chose because it is such a visible thing. a black ribon would cover the star but i'm not sure how good it'd look.

i have many tattoo's and worked in a studio, i've looked at all your photos, and cant help but wonder, do you have this particular tattoo for the traditionally symbolic reason of a nautical star inside your wrist?? if you do then you would not want to add to it in any way, its not the best of work and i would be reluctant to attract more attention to it i'm afraid, at the moment it can be hidden with a watch strap. Thats not what you were wanting to hear i know, why not go to another artist and discuss it with them, i wouldnt want, as an artist to have my name associated with this i'm afraid, sorry

I don't think the ribbons look good with it. But tattoos are a symbol of your heart. So you should do something that reflects you. Maybe you should do a heart?

If I were you, I go to a artist and see what they could help you design or put together with a few small tats to make a theme or something. The bow just doesn't lok like a wrist piece.? You have sooooo many options and yes you will have to go black. you have such a wide black line in your star. An idea could be,(just to throw one out),is to circle your wrist with vines,thorns,sm.leaves,+asst. sm. colored rose buds.(Use dark + lgt. greens for leaves + dark blue, purple, etc., for flowers, + black+brown for vines). Just one of many, many ideas! Good Luck! Have the entire world to find art in. (Nature, books, flash, tattooist ideas)

i would suggest going to a tat artist and discussing it with him/her. they could suggest colors and design with you and you could check out the work that he/she has done...
also, if you just want to hide it for a moment...big bangle bracelets are in and that would hide it nicely...
best of luck
