I hope this answers it for you. I understand what you are trying to ask, so here are the dimensions.

In the amateurs you'll usually find yourself fighting in a 15x15 boxing ring, when you get to the International level the rings are normally 18x18 and in the pro's the rings are as big as 20x20. When Ray Leonard fought Roberto Duran, Leonard's camp demanded a 24x24 ring one of the largest used in a Championship bout.
The smaller rings 15x15 are usually considered "Punchers Rings" due to the fact that there is less room for your opponent to move around before being able to cut-off the ring.
The larger ones 18x18 and 20x20 are considered "Boxers" rings, affording your opponent plenty of room to move around.
