Procrastination is the habit of putting tasks off to the last possible minute. It is a problem that afflicts students and executives similarly.

People procrastinate because they experience emotions they don’t want to feel when they attempt to do things. Those emotions can be of helplessness, powerlessness, being overwhelmed, being controlled, sad or resentful.

No matter how much you read on procrastination or how many things to do list you make you cannot overcome procrastination until you identify and address the associated emotions.

Hypnosis is known to be an effective tool in harnessing emotions positively. With hypnosis you reprogram your subconscious mind to move forward with positive energy, correct focus and an enthusiasm for taking up and completing tasks.

I have the same problem - I keep putting things off until the last minute. I find it helps if you may lists of everything you have to do and prioritize them.

Also, keep away from the computer unless you have to use it (I know because right now I should be doing my physics project but am answering someone's question on procrastination - ironic isn't it?). and if you do have to use the computer for your work stay away from messenger services (so you don't get caught in a conversation with a friend) and make sure you don't start with anything other than your work.

I find I work better when I'm under pressure but don't put things off so that you are under pressure to get them done on time because you won't be doing the best work that you can.

Try and set a time where you will leave everything and try and sleep. It might take a few nights to actually be getting to sleep at that time - it takes your body a while to adjust, but once you are getting More sleep you'll find you can concentrate easier and are all in all a happier healthier person!

Maybe try eating something before you start to give your brain a bit of energy.

That's pretty much all of my suggestions. I hope that if you try one or all of them that it helps you. Good luck! I should get back to doing some real work now though! :)

if you want to finished your homework then do it immediately. It becomes habit of you already because that's u used to. When i was still studying, after the professor giving an assignment or homework, i usually do it at night or when i a have free time before the due time is coming. Avoid rushing for you to be sure to have a good outcome.I suggest also to plan your work to do at home in the morning to maximized your time.Plan ahead of time and do it right away everything for you get sleep early.Happy studying.

Make a list of things that need to be done for the next day just before you go to sleep at night. Force yourself to complete the entire list before 10pm. After a while it will become a habit. It is very important to be organized, especially if you intend to develop a career.

If you don't train yourself to sleep at night, you will be miserable with a day job later in life. Try laying down and relaxing every part of you body.

I had the same problem, procrastination and what I did to solve this was to make a daily schedule of everything that I need to accomplish each day in order. The only thing is you have to be consistent. Hope I helped

Get a pack of cookies or snacks that you like very much. For each question you answer in your homework, let yourself get a bit into the snack. Discipline yourself not to eat more. When you finish the homework, you can eat the rest of the snack.
