I'm glad you asked! One thing you are not drinking enough water. Our bodies are 2/3 water and the cartlidges in between your disks in the back are mostly all water. So if you do not drink lots of water and eat foods that have lots of water in them you are dehydrated and set yourself up for curved spine, hunchback, arthritus,. Osteporosis, and even kidney problems. You need to drink half your body weight in pure filtered water. I have similar problems with aches & pains if I do ot drink enough water and as soon as I get my water into me again the pains go away. if I do not drink my water I start ot get a dull mild headache, and again as soon as I get my water into me again the ache is gone.. I drink on an average of 10 glasses per day. If you weigh 140 pounds, you divide that by 2= 70 ounces of water divide that by 8 and you then drink close to 9 glasses of H20 a day.You most likely have digestive problems and you could also have parasites. Are you constipated? This definately can cause back aches. Anyway I work with a herbalist Dr. and I am sure he can help you. Contact me if you would care to

First, you need to figure out why your back is aching.

If you've never had a back injury, pain for a week with no medicines helping you means it's probably more than a wrenched back, so you should go to your doctor and get an exam and X-ray and make sure you haven't done something worse than wrench it.

If it truly is just wrenched, gentle stretching (standing with your feet shoulder width apart and then slowly bending toward the ground a few times a day) really can help you out.

If it's more than a wrench, and you're into the "slipped or herniated disk" category, more specialized physical therapy and medicine is required...so please, don't let it go on too long...get yourself checked ASAP.

try soaking in a nice hot bubble bath for a good hour everyday... also get a heating pad and place it in the bed when you ly down and dont forget to place two - three pillows under your knees or always keep onepillow in between you legs so that your knees dont touch when you sleep on your side... This works wonders for me. I had a back injury in 2000 and had permenant aches and stiffness down there even after a year of physical therapy. If you can get a doctor to prescribe a TENS unit for you... You will become best friends with this... It a little battery device that attaches to your back by electrodes patches and it sends different variatons of electric pulses to your muscle to help relax it... I use mine often..... Hope these help.

Go to the doctor, you may have a kidney infection.
