There is this cream called Azelex, I got it for a skin condition from a piercing I did myself. It seemed like a wonder cream and I began trying it on different skin conditions I had, and it helped reduce my stretch marks greatly, it's amazing! You have to get it from a dermatologist, but honestly, it's better to pay a $15 copay for a wonder cream instead of $80 for an avon treatment that won't work!
Also, salmon is the skins magic friend, it tightens and fills any problem spots, so a salmon diet would work too, but they are very very specific! Good Luck!

Exfoliation is very superficial, it doesn't go very deep and those spots are deep in the dermas (skin). Remember, when acne develops it starts from the inside the pores, so what you see in the surface (the pimple) is the accumulation of the liquid but the infection is actually guarded inside the skin. Infections are, in a way, living organisms, their aim is to spread and protect their mission at any cause, that is why we say, "we're fighting an infection or a virus. This is just a simple way to say it. The best way to correct that would be with laser treatment or, depending how deep it is, you can also seek out microdermabrasion treatment. Make sure to consult an experienced skin therapist or cosmetic doctor.
