So Im recently single... well not so recently anymore its been about 5 months. Anyway I started seeing this guy 2 + months ago. And things were slow going at first, tons of chemistry. The thing was i was a little cautious i just ended a 4 yr relationship and moving forward "sexually" with another person was ...i dont know scary. Anyhow everytime something would almost happen he would back off for a few days. He assured me a million times that he was more the cool with taking his time,. But when it finally did happen. hes backed off again. This hot/cold crap is driving me nuts. What the hell do I do? Is he just playing games? did he only wanna get in my pants? Everytime i talk to him he says how much he respects me, and how much he wants to be with me. He also said he was worried about pushing me too far too fast. Sex the other night was my idea and my doing.... and i might add it was SPECTACULAR!!!! I dont friggin know whats going on.....why can he just be clear on things. Im down

The thing is, I dont want more. Im definitly not interested in a relationship right now. I just got out of one and it was hell!!!!! I just want friendship and 1 sexual partner. So if he wanted to just "hook uo" he knows that he could tlak to me about that. and we could decide if that was the best thing. I just want to date someone and have some fun. THis will be my first summer single in forever... He just keeps making things so confusing!!!! he's the one who pushes for more then backs off for a few days.... I cant deal with this crap!

Some more mature guys, tired of the sex only game, who really want a serious relationship with someone, will back off the sex thing to pursue the possibility of a special connection. They want to explore areas of compatibility by taking time to getting to know you more as a person than a sex object. Perhaps you should feel flattered and respected by the indication he is carefully thinking of the possibility of a long-term relationship with you. Some guys say that physical intimacy somewhat clouds their judgment. He wants to be absolutely sure about you before he makes an exclusive commitment. Perhaps when that happens.....he would feel better about also pursuing a sexual relationship with you because an emotional connection along with a physical connection is the absolute best kind of relationship.

He's totally just wanting to hook up, which is fine, except that he knows that you are coming out of a relationship so he's making his presence sporatic so he doesn't have to be with you all the time but still hook up. He feels like you are wanting more than he wants to give. You are afraid and are looking for a boyfriend and he's looking for sex that may or may not turn into something.
Make sense? Dump him or decide hooking up without a relationship is cool with you.

1st off if uve been seeing him 4 a while now & r haveing sex with him ur more then just friends ur a couple , 2nd how can u expect him 2 be up front with u when ur talking 2 strangers about it & not 2 him

Gee - are we dating the same guy? Only kidding, mine seems to have the same thing going on, but we haven't gotten to the stage you are at. Things get good, move to a new level and he is "busy" for days at a time. Don't have a solution for you. I'm hoping that good things will come eventually. Good luck, I understand your frustration!
