I was recently contacted by an online friend who asked me to research something for her. She had a rottweiler who was kept outside, and was up-to-date on all shots (according to her, I don't know what is standard where she lives). She said that they came home today to find her laying in the yard....her back end was covered in blood and she was having seizure-like spasms. She said she was still alive, but very cold. The poor dog had to be put down, but she's left wondering what happened to her. She's wondering if maybe someone poisoned her dog with something. I've tried Googling this and haven't had much luck, so I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone knows anything. Thanks in advance for the input. (Oh, I'm probably going to suggest that she have a necropsy done on the dog, but I don't know if she can afford it.)

There could be many different reasons why the dog was 'bloody' on it's rear end, and was having 'spasms' ... but it is 'most likely' a 'fast acting poison' that caused the dog's needing to be 'put down' ... and your friend should 'report it to the police' and see if they want to 'investigate' it ... poisoning dogs and cats is 'grossly illegal' and needs to be 'punished' by a 'court of law' ... and not just 'go home and cry because our dog died.' Your friend may want to get a 'new' dog, and if the one that she had 'put down' had some HORRID DISEASE it could still be 'in the yard' and could kill her new dog ... or if it was poisoned the person who did that could 'come back and do it again' ... so tell your friend to 'look into SOLVING the mystery of how the dog got sick' and even if it 'costs some money' it will be more than 'worth the expense' if what they find out can save another pet's life.

Find out if the dog has been eating the recalled food. Because one of the problems is bleeding form the bowel and vomiting and Yellow of the eyes.

What part of her back end was covered in blood? You mean from her anus? Perhaps there was an undetected tumor. Did they find any bullet holes?
