Hi, I'm in exactly the same situation as you! I'm in my mid 20s, a working professional, and in good health/fitness. I have always been single and I am straight. All my workmates and friends are attached and in happy, stable relationships. I do not know anybody in my circle of contacts who is single. Yes it does make me feel odd as well and I feel like a bit of a loser because of it.
This feeling is further compounded by the fact that society today dictates that it is normal to be in a couple and that anyone who is single by default, is a freak and an outcast who cannot function as a regular human being. Just turn on the radio or the TV or have a look at all those celebrity tablots; They all revolve around sex and love (then comes money). Hell, there is even a day of the year dedicated to rubbing it in our faces.
Unfortunately I cannot offer you any suggestion on how to get around your strange feelings other that to hope that you will meet someone sooner rather than later! Good luck!

Most people get into relationships at a young age and assume that everyone else does the same. I didn't get married until I was almost twenty-six. Tell them that you prefer to live for you and not have someone around always bothering you. It will strike a cord for more than a few of them.

younger than you ? married or engaged? or do u mean older, anyways - i think the good age to become engage or get married is anytime after 30, other than that- you are stupid if you are married or engaged before 25- dont mind them- enjoy life- go out- party- with friends- if you dont have friends make some friends- you are young- im 27 and im enjoyin life- as much as i can-

Just answer that you don't mind being single for the moment, that you still enjoy being independent and enjoy the fact that you don't have to answer to anyone but your parents or siblings. Be sure to say it with a great, big smile (don't let on that you're annoyed at their remarks).

Tell them it's not so strange, you have no problem with being single, and you don't like them making a fuss about you being single.
