Yes you can. Go to Planned Parenthood. There should be one near you somewhere. Hooray for taking the responsible road and using birth control to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Just remember to always make them use a condom. Birth control does not protect you from STD's or AIDS. If he won't wrap it up, you won't give it up! Period!

You don't need them to sign for you to go to the appointment. They would find out when the insurance claim comes in though. Your only other option is to go to a Planned Parenthood place, like the County Health Department. Why do you want to hide it? I'm the parent of a 17 year old daughter. As her mom, I would rather know she was acting responsibly, than be doing it behind my back and end up pregnant. I told her that when she felt like she was ready, to come to me and I would take her to get put on the pill and go buy her some condoms. No diseases, no babies. She did, and she is taken care of. It's all in communication.

If you go to Planned Parenthood be sure and let them know you want it to remain a secret. I'm not sure how paperwork works but my cousin was trying to keep things a secret and her parents got a bill/statement. Maybe you need to say you don't have insurance.
Is it that big of a deal? Maybe your parents would be understanding. Maybe you would just get a talk about safe sex meaning more than not getting pregnant. Trust is good, but don't get hurt.
I presonally am on the pill but don't tell anyone because I feel safer using a condom, they prevent more than just pregnancy, just don't forget people generally only regret babies for a little while but STD's are a different story. Be safe.

Lol talk to your doctor. Im not sure you might be able to. If not your gonna have to tell your parents. But its better that you do then to risk getting pregnant. And if your worried about your parents thinking you want it because your having sex or thinking about having sex. Just tell them that you need it to regulate you period. Say that your period is all over the place and constantly irregular. Make something up like that. and say you heard that it will help you to get on a regular schedule. lol Even though i said all that it still think its best that you talk to your parents about the real reason why you want the pill. They can probably give you good advice. or ask an older sibling if you have any. AGIAN> use proctection honey. Not just the pill but condoms too

Birth control pills can only be distributed by dr.'s. They take an oath of confidentuality. Therefore they cannot tell anyone anything about you or your patient file. Now if you can get to the dr. pay for the visit without insurance contacting your parents you will be o.k. If you cannot do that then try the local health dept. or free clinic they can help you. It shouldn't be to hard to get this done being you are trying to prevent an unexpected pregnacy. Try family planning in you school even that might help.

Here's a thought; have you set aside enough money for this child's college, it's health care, enough for you to be able to stay home to raise it, what does your husband do or is he retired as well? Is your house paid in full or do you still have a mortgage? Should your child need special medical care for life, have you prepared a trust fund for that? Have you and your husband completed genetic testing to ensure that you don't have dominant genes that would be expressed in the child as a fatal disease or require a lifetime of palliative care? At 17 you must have been very astute to be in a position like this where you have prepared so well in the event that you have a child. Most children your age would have to kill it or keep it and doom it to a life of abject poverty; so good for you and your husband for being this prepared...

I think you can depending on what state you live in. Call or visit your local health dept. They will be able to give you the information that you need, and they are confidential too. Its nice to see you acting responsible enuff to want to take birth control. I wish more 17 year olds thought the way you do...
Good Luck

I believe you can get it without your parents knowing as soon as you're 15.
Here at least- once you're 15 you can get your own medical care card or w/e and anything between you and your doctor is confidential etc and I would say if you went to see your doctor he would tell you about getting it. He cannot tell your parents about you wanting to get the pill- it's illegal for him to do so.
