I'm actually worried. THey were protesting on May Day. Thats a day traditional used in America to show hatred towards Americans. Edicate dictates they should be waving the AMerican Flag to show they are proud to be here. I know a few Mexican - American are really mad about this. I don't think the majority is educated enough to know what they are doing, but the leaders on the other hand has to know about these things. I don't mind people are proud where they are from, but I am mad when they forget where they're at. They're not helping their cause. I know a lot of people who are now far more antagonistic towards Mexicans after the protest. I know a few Mexican AMerican who are mad about this. They think these protestors are giving them them a bad name.

I can't be sure what was going through THEIR minds, but I would imagine that it had something to do with the fact that the US is a nation if immigrants (right down to the first "settlers") and that they were proud of the heritage and culture that they contribute to our wonderful melting pot.

Perhaps you could ask someone in your family? After all, they were probably in the same boat some time in your family history. We all were at one point.

they was thinking they would get amnesty. they want their rights and they are illegal. i don't think it was right that they burned the American flag. they (illegal) have upset Americans with the way they are demanding their rights while illegal.
