I don't mean light snoring either, I mean when they snore so loud you can literally hear them on a different floor of the house.

tell him its ruining your health and he needs to be treated for the problem, first he needs to lose weight, dont sleep on his back, use breathe right strips, and the new moisturizing throat spray, and if these dont do the trick see a doctor, he might need surgery to open up his throat, believe it or not a snorer isnt sleeping well at all, snoring is a sign that the breathing passages are getting blocked.

Turn on a loud fan or the TV. My father and my older brother snore louder than anybody I've ever come accross. My mother, who somehow sleeps in the same room as my dad, uses a fan. Even in the winter! She just faces it against a wall. Me? I use the TV and set the sleep mode to muffle out my brothers snoring in the next room. Also, have them get checked out by thier doctor for sleep apnia(I hope thats how you spell it). People suffocate and die in thier sleep from it all the time.

There are breathe right nose strips out on the market and a new gargle for snoring as well. Have him use the gargle and wear the nose strip at night in bed. See if that has him snore less or not at all and you can sleep peacefully.

possiblity that he might have sleep apnea, at which point being placed on a cpap machine or actually loosing weight would help, also he can loose weight if he is obese. i could obviously say u can sleep in another room, but it sounds like even that would not help. he might need medical intervention, that way you can get some well deserved sleep. good luck

Put a clothespin on his nose. It will work, because it will force him to breath through his mouth, which, stops the snoring.
