My ex broke up with me 2 1/2 years ago b/c i moved away for college and he wanted me to have fun and enjoy my college life. Now....he continues to text me and tell me he misses me, loves me etc. but refuses to have sex with me (says he has to be good). do you think he sees a future with me? im so confused b/c i still love him so much but just always act friendly with him. do you think he still loves me and sees a future with me if he is acting this way after 2.5 years? how should i act towards him? should i call or always wait for him?

Did he have sex with you before? Maybe he's saving himself. Maybe he found religion? If you "love him so much", maybe a meaningful conversation would be in order.

He probably is just trying to be good. Maybe it's some religious convictions. I say the same thing to guys because the temptation is there but you want it to be special and with the right person. You two dated for a long time so obviously he cares and the fact that he still calls shows he has not moved on. Just be patient and don't push the sex. He probably broke up with you to see if you would go wild in college without him. He's letting you have your freedom because he cares more about your happiness than his own. Talk things out with him if you want to try to keep the relationship going. As as for the sex...sex is great but it's not everything and having sex with you won't show his love, affection or devotion to you.

You have a guy who keeps in touch with you coz he misses you and doing all that without having sex in his mind and you are having doubts. You don't get many of that species nowadays and you should be treasuring him. Wait for his call or texts but if he doesn't,make the iniative.

He probably thinks about you all the time. and still wants you badly and cant let go of you. But the truth is..... he probably with someone else and that why he " wants to be good". You should find out. If hes single, then maybe its just out of respect for you that he wants to wait. But if he isnt single.. its cause as much as he still wants you he doesnt want to cheat on his girlfriend.

A guy - resisting having sex with a girl - this is a case for a shrink to resolve. Seriously - he may be gay or he may be playing mind games with you. Not a healthy relationship. Find a guy who IS interested. Even if you don't want to hop in to bed with a guy - its abnormal for him to NOT want to.

if he is attentive and nice in all other aspects, he is just passing through a "my girlfriend is a saint" phase. If he do things like not calling you, not being attentive, lying! he is a chicken that wants you to break up with him, instead of doing it himself
