my father has 8 kids total and he wants to get all of our names tattooed but he wants something unique and not just a list. any ideas?

put then into a banner that circles around his arm, or across his shoulders and around his chest and so on

thats a heck of a lot of names to fit into one tattoo without it looking huge or like the voters role!! i would be thinking along the lines of a band around his arm, perhaps fine tribal, band top and bottom, and the names in a tribal style winding round his arm inside them, placement of each name would have to be worked on to allow a flowing continuity. A design such as this would give him what he is wanting without it being immediately obvious to anyone else what it is. 8 names is a lot for one tattoo. i worked in a studio-and this makes sense in my head, putting the idea across here is a little difficult. I hope he finds something he is happy with. Good luck

How about a tree of some sort? Make the names look like branches by being real creative with the fonts and lettering style.

how about a chain hanging from the neck of a lion, and on the chain are name tags. On each name tag is a name of one of his children. Above the lion are outstretched wings. The lion signifies a fatherly love much like God in biblical literature, the wings would signify the spiritual and eternity - basically a fatherly love towards his children for eternity.

I suggest doing like my stepdad did for all of his biological sons. Pick a font that he thinks fits each one's personality, then get each name put in a different spot and not grouped together.
So far, he has Maldonado (his last name) and three of the four names done. He has one on the inside of each forearm and one on his shoulder. They look very pretty, but all the names are in the same font.

he could get the name in a certain shape? or have them done like a scrable game or a crossword when one name is connected to another by ine letter?? just some ideas

mabey you could design you own family tree - depends where and how big he wants to go. you know each name on a seperate leave or something.
