Its instinct for a dog to chew. However they don't know what hey can and can't chew without proper training. If you let him chew on old socks, he will learn that he can chew on anything that has your scent on it. If you see him chewing on something he shouldn't, clap your hands. This will startle him and he will eventually relate that object with being startled. Then you give him an appropriate toy. You can also spray some Bitter Apple spray on whatever you don't want chewed. He will avoid this. It tastes nasty to him.

It always seems that the dog is chewing on your best things like your new heels, the foxtel tv remote or that new $40.00 book you just got. But really a dog can chew almost anything!

It's just a coincidence he's chewing on the good items. Most dogs chew when they are in their teething period because all their new teeth are coming in and their gums are sore so chewing helps soothe it.

Dogs still chew when they are adults because it is a nice sensation or it can be because of boredom or seperation anxiety.

Hope that all helps!!!

Crate practise is superb for this puppy. At 10 months she remains a toddler, and then they pass via a teenage point after their first 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. once you are able to not watch her placed her interior the crate. i could additionally purchase a Kong in case you do not already have one and fill it with treats. I fairly have a canine that chews and confident you would be able to desire to observe her consistently. I tell her "NO!!!!! Leeeeave it!!!! and she or he has gotten to the place she right this moment stops what she is doing. It takes some artwork yet staying power will pay off.

They will chew on anything!

Get them a big bone or rawhide...that is more tasty to them and it will keep them busy so they won't have the time to mess with your stuff.
