An aquadoodle!
Its a mat that just lies on the floor. It comes with a pen that you fill with water. When they write on the mat, it turns blue. As it dries, it turns white again, and can be used over and over and over! Plus, the pen is just water so no worries about clothes or walls getting written on. My daughter just turned 2 and loves her aquadoodle!

oh gosh I remember that age!
Nothing that makes a lot of noise!
I remember one daughter I got her really good quality wooden blocks. We got years out of those blocks. They were german and painted in the primary colours. The paint never even chipped on the darn things! They were pricey but worth it.
A big bright cheery ball! Simple but how fancy do you have to be with a baby?
That aquadoodle thing someone mentioned sounds like a ball! I want one for ME!
Some happy music like Raffi. I have no idea who is "in" for kids now.
An appropriate ride em toy. They love them with compartments or a place for baby/teddy to travel too!
Amen to no batteries. They can keep you broke and the toy useless! Kidpower should be enough to make things work. They have enough of it so spare! Also, might I suggest going off the beaten path for toys? Most of these horrible attitude girl dolls are just grotesque, "in" or not "in".

here are a list of ideas but they probably aren't very good.
1. Maybe a nce braceet from the jewellery shop. Not too expensive incase she ruins it and be very careful with it.
2. A nice teddy bear.
3. Clothes
4. A pretty pair of shoes for going out not for around home.
Sorry i do not know what else.

Probably anger management classes that you can do together!
Leave the other lass alone, she is young and trying her best! The fact that you do not know your child well enough to pick a present for her speaks volumes in itself! So it seems that you are not the greatest parent alive either!
Buy her a fairy dress and some wings, wand ect ...most little girls like fairies!
Hoping you can sort your spat out soon because us mums listen to our kids argue all day...we dont need to listen to the mummies argue too in our 'free time'!x

Jig Saw Puzzles
The large wooden variety that have big and colouful pieces.
It will help her with academic work later and it will be fun too.
When she first sees it, you can encourage her to match shapes and colours.
Books are also great. You can buy board books that don't tear easily. You can read with her every day.
Kite, you can help her learn to fly it.
Kaleidascope. She will enjoy making new patterns.
A good quality ball. Not too small, so you can get her co-ordination going. It is fun but helps brain function too.

Who are you trying to impress?
At that age my kids were just as happy with empty 2 liter soda bottles than any $50 present. Spend time with her and love her. Take her to the park and push her on a swing. Let other relatives by expensive gifts. (while you can get away with it)

Mr. or Mrs. Potato Head are wonderful toys for toddlers. It helps them know where the certain body parts go and name them. And they have so many more options then they did when we were kids...Wal-Mart sells sets for like $5 so you can buy all different pieces.
Another good gift is a baby doll with all the baby stuff (stroller, high chair, car seat and clothes). Pretend play is important for young kids and they want to me like mommy and daddy and it develops motor skills when they feed, clothe and care for a baby doll.

Dora the Explorer- ANYTHING!
They are educational and fun!
We love Leapfrog toys and Little Tikes toys in our house.
We only use educational items... so play time is really not just an empty space.
I decorated his room with the alphabet, number and solar system. He is a young 3.

I have a two year old sister and she absolutely LUVS little Russ brand dogs. They are really cheap and totally cute. There isn't anything to choke on or lose. They are also really soft and cuddly. I hope that helps!! =)

Definitely a ride on toy or a sit-n-spin type thing. They have boundless energy at that age, and it's the only way to keep them in one place for more than two minutes at a time. lol!
