At least a year. my dad went through this and it is a long hard and expensive process. You have to prove to the Philippines consulate that you are not just trying to get to the US. My dad and his wife got married in OCT of 2005 and she just got here last weekend.

It all depends on how old you are and how old is your boyfriend, if he is 55 years old and you are 17 years old, it will take at least one year till his divorce papers get finalized.. Now if he is 17 and you are 55 I suggest you dont wait!

First and more important than anything learn the English language better. I could barly make out what your writing. I have worked around Asian people alot lately and they don't take the time to learn this language better and people just take advantage of them left and right. I try and tell them but I don't know how much they're comprehending.
