I mean is'nt that the whole point of having those chips put in them?? My ex has my dog & we are inseperable ,she won't let me see her and we are both miserable w/out eachother!

Not really, the point of the chips is that if your dog gets lost and found by someone and taken to the vet or sent to a shelter, you hope that the shelter and vet will scan him, and then compare the number w their database and call you to let you know they have it.

Unfortunately, there is no GPS tracking device or anything like that... wish there were :-(

If the chip is registered in your name, legally it's yours, report it stolen and have the microchip register updated to reflect it as stolen, she won't be able to do a thing with the dog and if you let the police know, they can track it down for you.

Yes, but you need the phone number and paper work of the company that you got the chip from.....or the vet that implanted it--- call and tell him your dog is lost and they will call the company and locate your dog

No, the chips are not tracking devices where it gives off a beeping signal and you can use a monitor to see where your dog is. Here's an article about microchipping.

No, the chips are only for identification, they are not radiotransmitters or GPS devices. Sorry - technology hasn't gotten that far yet! Maybe there is a special collar you can buy that has that ability?

no its not a tracker or anything its so if u loose ur dog and someone or the shelter find him or her they scan the chip and see it is your animal they will return it to u
