Dress nice, look presentable, walk in, ask to speak to the bar manager or general manager, ask if they're hiring if they aren't advertising job openings, ask for an application.

Sorry to tell you this but if you cant get your nerve together to walk in then this isnt the job for you. Working in a bar you have to be confident and sassy, if your not feeling like that then fake it!! Walk tall, maintain eye contact and speak clearly. No good bar manager will hire someone who seems shy and nervy, remember part of your job will be dealing with drunk unruly, sometimes even aggressive customers..you need to show that you are ready for anything and full of confidence. Good luck, believe in yourself and im sure you'll get the job. I find that once youve walked through the door the rest is easy.

Smile Smile Smile!!! Smiling automatically sends off a self confidence friendly vibe. Make eye contact at all times when speaking or being spoken to. Be polite, with the "please's" and the "thank you's". Good luck to you hun!

Be self confident, and if you can't, pretend that you are. That impresses them more than anything. I am a black dealer ,and we have to audition, and I just simply forgot to be nervous. Just go and do it, and don't think or dwell on what your feeling, if you don't get the job at least you tired , which is a lot better than just writing about it.
