You can't make someone like you. I would say your best coarse of action is not to worry about one girl right now. From the way you described the situation is sounds like you have low self esteem. No one will be attracted to you until you like yourself.
I would say start exercising and join some good clubs and activities. Make friends with girls just as friends and the rest will come in time.
Trust me there are lots of girls out there that are great. So i would worry about getting to a place where you like yourself before you get to college. Your first year there don't even worry about girls make a good base set of friends. You will see it will just happen naturally.
Once you like yourself and don't come off as desperate you will find lots of chicks are into you.

You can't.
Move on man, it may not seem like it now, but there are tons of women out there and more than one of them are looking for a guy like you. The thing is, you'll never find them if you sit there dwelling on one that got away.
Why are you shy? Do you not like that you're overweight? You can do something about it and lose the weight, or you can accept that being overweight is a part of who you are and its okay to be who you are. Those are your options and either way, you'll feel better about it once you make a decision.
And if you need motivation, I've found that taking a mindset of "Well then, I'll just find someone BETTER." is a great way to think after some stupid ***** rejects you.

The last thing you should do is stare at anyone. This makes a girl very uncomfortable. Especially if she doesn't know you very well. Remember that beauty is fleeting. She won't be beautiful forever. You need to find out what she is like on the inside. Please don't fall for someone because of their looks. Start by apologizing to her and don't talk to her for a while beyond that. If she has any character she will forget it and at least not hate you for it. Learn from this and move on. That's your best bet in my opinion.

Hello,
Start by being just you, then ask one out for coffee (With friends) the find out interest in one another. Kind of take it from there, just see how that processes. Good luck, you will do just fine. Always be a gentleman and friend first.
Don't show off or over talk, just smile and be yourself.

It's all about self-confidence. Just try not to stutter when you talk to her and look her in the eyes. 6'5" 200 pounds, I know it sounds like I'm in good shape but I'm not a good-looking guy but my girlfriend and I have been together for about 6 months because I was confident when I met her.
So just look into her eyes and try to be confident.

You can't really get a girl to like you; it's either there or not. You don't want to change for someone anyway. Just be yourself and when you least expect it, you'll have one staring at YOU. :)
