I am writing a book that takes place during the prohibition era, and am in need of sites and/or recipes of how the illegal liquor was made and such.

Edit: i failed to mention, i know of speakeasies and the ways they were run. I am more searching for the methods on making and transporting the booze. I know enough for conversation, but need more more details for a book.

look at the history or NASCAR i'm not a fan but i know it started from bootlegging started in north carolina the bootleggers would always make sure they outfitted their cars with better motors and other features to both out-accelerate and sustain a higher top speed than law enforcement when prohibition ended they still wanted to drive fast so they started a racing league nascar or north american stock car auto racing or something like that uses cars that are basically modified from the same cars u could buy at a dealership not anymore like that but the look of the body still shares some characteristics with regular cars but way back when they'd just buy a junker like a 32 ford and put a much larger engine than the one factory installed and lighter body materials and remove the interior and better fuel mixtures and better airflow to make regular cars better also in major northeastern cities and chicago the mafia just paid off/intimidated law enforcement ok that should point u in the right direction

the most common retailer of alcohol was an under the table bar called a speakeasy

to enter the speakeasy you had to tell the doorman the relative password...or speak easy!
