This is a tough one.

I have depression and stopped taking my meds the minute I found out I was pregnant - it is possible to conceive while on anti-deps. And I found out before I had my period. If your period doesn't start on its 'due' date then take a test the next day. It is possible to get a false negative if you take the test too soon, but usually it shows positive a day or two after your missed period. If you can't wait and you have concerns then go do a blood test.

Go back on your meds until you're sure, but if you're pregnant, I suggest (on advice of two different doctors) you stop taking them until you're at least 3 months pregnant. If you can tough it out, then don't take them at all until you've had the baby. I know it's hard, but it's totally worth it.

My first doc said it's okay to continue taking my meds, but when I did my own research I found out it's possible for the baby to be born with defects - this risk is small but it's there. I don't want to take a chance. The newer anti-deps aren't that dangerous to baby, but it depends on what medications you take, the dosage and all sorts of other factors.

Good luck!

Alot of the symptoms of pregnancy are the same as the symptoms of PMS, so it will be hard to tell, unfortunately. If the meds are for depression and you feel that you can handle the symptoms without medication, go ahead and ask your doc if you can stay off them for a while. You shouldn't just stop them suddenly. Most of those kinds of medication you have to wean off of slowly. If you don't start by about Wednesday or so, take another test. If you want to try staying off the meds for a while, there are some things that you can do to feel better. Sunshine is great for dealing with depression, and so are certain foods. Your doc can give you a list. Get plenty of excercise, and make sure you are taking folic acid in case you do get pregnant, because it can prevent certain types of birth defects (neural tube defects) in the baby. Good luck!
