Ok so Im just about done with my fat burning process. I used to eat 1200 calories a day and do cardio every single day. Thats over now.

I now have decided to eat 1800 calories a day, and instead of cardio every day. I will alternate heavy (and i mean heavy) weight training and cardio.

My question is this. Say I eat uhhhhh 150% daily value of protein each day. Yet my 1800 calorie diet is well below what I am consuming every day (I caclulated about 2,400 daily at www.caloriesperhour). Will my body take that protein and use it for energy? Or will it use some for energy and some to build/repair muscle tissue that was worn out due to the heavy work outs?

Thank you.

the amount of fat free mass that you have determines the protein intake. 1-1.5 grams per lb of lean body mass is sufficient to maintain a positive nitrogen balance.

regarding the calories, can't make a call unless the bodyweight and estimated body fat is given

It wont be used for energy. Look into 'Dr Lothar Wendts Protein Theory'. It'll most likely be deposited somewhere in your body where it shouldnt be - according to Wendt. Research has shown (which Icant find right now) that the body can only assimilate around 20 grams of protein per meal, so save your money and dont eat alot at one meal - spread a decent amount over 5-6 meals a day.

it will convert it to energy if you have no fat.
