Do you, or do you not agree that the bible was obviously written by more then one man?
If you agree, how do you explain the fact that none of these men ever leaked out the secret that they were trying to trick human race for the rest of its exsistence..
Could one man have sat down and written the entire bible, in all of its depth and thought, in one lifetime?
My questions are for people who do not believe in the bible. What are the odds of one person being able to write the entire thing and NO ONE else knowing... What is the chance of multiple people writting it, and making it flow, and NO ONE else knowing, including wives, or children to pass on the fact that there fathers were trying to trick future people?
The bible is a miracle. I would like to know how you explain the fact that it is still here after all of its scrutiny....
Please, no, "it contradicts itself" talk. Honestly, I see it doesnt, but you can believe it does. But that is not the question I am asking you.

So far, no questions are being answered. Just "it was made to fool people". Well, that is great, BUT, HOW... HOW doesnt anyone know!?

The bible was written by men as they were inspired by God. God gave holy men the words to write. I believe in the KJV as the only true version of the bible. It is perfect. Email me and I will send you facts about the KJV that I put together once when talking with a unbeliever. Its to long to post here, but it is easy reading, and it explains what I think about different bible versions and why.

The purpose of the Bible is to reveal God to mankind, and to get us to come to him through his son Jesus Christ, so we can know him and be like him.
Luk 24:25-27 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
You skeptics should realize one thing. Could a book so filled with lies cause centuries full of people to turn from their sins, including the sin of lying?

"Do you, or do you not agree that the bible was obviously written by more then one man?"
There is a show on the radio called "66/40". It's supposed to mean 66 'books' and 40 authors.
"If you agree, how do you explain the fact that none of these men ever leaked out the secret that they were trying to trick human race for the rest of its exsistence.."
I get it! It means that if you don't believe it, then it MUSt be a trick to control people. Unfortunately, that spin doesn't work. At least not on me. I haven't gone to 'a church' in months and months, and yet my relationship with God is more than it ever has been. How could that be? Perhaps your theory does work in those cases where money and surrendering my will to a human 'pastor' is the real issue, but it isn't with me.
"Could one man have sat down and written the entire bible, in all of its depth and thought, in one lifetime?"
We have fragments that are very old, and so called 'complete manuscripts that are not as old but still pretty old. Ummmm, here:

Honestly now.
You then state that your questions are forpeople that do not believe in the Bible. I will not answer those.

Did you ever think that these men were reading the bibles of the others and adding their own spin? Kind of like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" novel, but with a political and prejudiced twist?
I do understand your point although I'm guessing MANY people knew... but most of them were killed during the Inquisition or to protect the religious autocracies. Lots of people claimed it was a trick. Lots of people claimed there were witches in Salem too, and tortured them just to prove a point.
Nothing against your beliefs but the fact that the Bible is still here under intense scrutiny says nothing about its validity, really. "The Canterbury Tales" is still around too, but nobody claims all of its stories are true. And remember, many authors have written of the Greek Gods and the Roman Gods. That does not make these gods true either.
All the best.

There are a couple of reasons. One is that in the days before copyright laws people had a different view on literature. A scribe writing a political speech down was not regarded as engaging in propaganda. History was expected to be warped and twisted, for political purposes.
Here are two links that cover your questions in extreme detail;
http://www.bidstrup.com/bible.htm
http://www.bibleorigins.net/
One of the problems of your question is the assumption that it was one person or one book. There are over 60 books and at least 40 separate authors. It was compiled over close to 900 years, From about 600 bc(the end of the babylonian exile) to 325 ad (!rst Council of Nicea).
Most of the *history* in the bible is mythological. I would say almost 95% of it.
You might not like the links and find they conflict with your beliefs, but they are very honest, even going to the trouble to point out their viewpoint and possible biases.
You should be able to get through Bidstrup easy, it is not that long.
Bible origins is a huge piece of work, and it is better just to look up specific instances in it. Like Moses and Exodus maybe.
Some of the early Christian writers did "leak it out" that it would be better to lie if it would promote the interests of the Church. It is just not something preachers announce loudly as a general rule.
"If the truth is that ugly -- which it is -- then we do have to be careful about the way that we tell the truth. But to somehow say that telling the truth should be avoided because people may respond badly to the truth seems bizarre to me." --Chuck Skoro, Deacon, St. Paul's Catholic Church

For those who want to believe, there is no need to question your belief. Christianity was changed dramatically 300 years after the death of Jesus. It is no secret. Or, is it a secret? Do you know that Jesus' birthday was determined for political reasons only? What good is a leak when the church had the ability to kill leakers at will? How can you even pretend to know if there were leaks? As far as tricks to the human race are concerned, you are evidence. How can you pretend to know that this did not occur? Have you never heard of the council of nicaea?

The Old testament is a book written by scribes who, with the total lack of scientific info, tried to explain a history with very supernatural leanings. Today, we know many are fabricated and that explanations for events are quite different from the stories and events they portray. That includes The Plagues in Egypt.. which have been proven to be scientifically possible, like the blood in the Nile were mineral deposits.
The New Testament is a compilation of many gospels, from Luke through Matthew, Paul and others.,It was compiled in great secrecy, leaving out Many parts of known history and interpretation, especially the Book of Mary, and many other parts, That was because the Church by around 200 AD fro devised the greatest heroic and masterful business plan plan with the most recognizable icon, the Cross. It;s been here a few thousand years.one which still heads people and controls them thorugh guilt and shame into their beliefs, may of which are now being proven false concerning the life death and resurrection of Jesus, who the Jews called Yeshua.

Consider the fact that the bible was written in a simpler time when people couldn't communicate as easily as they can now. Only if one had money, could one even purchase the materials to write. It was a time when books were written one copy at a time and not many people could read them even if they could afford to own them. Its likely that no one wrote a book of the bible with the intent to "trick" the future population of the world. It probably took a great deal of effort and was written altruistically.

I agree that it was written by more then one man. I don't see how one person even today could write all that and back then, the average lifespan was a lot shorter.
When people wanna keep stuff a secret, they take many steps to make sure no one finds out, for example, the government. Not to mention it likely was harder for people to figure that out back then.
No, one man would have unlikely be able to do that.
As making it flow, it's simple. They discuss things over. I already explained above how it might be kept a secret.
The Bible isn't a miracle to me, if anything, almost the opposite. It's likely still here because enough people believe it to be ture. There's power in numbers.

The Bible was basically a written testimony of many. This book shows that God's people were more concerned about meeting their physical needs, but God showed them they needed to nourish their spiritual lives on his truth as well. The Devil urged Him and us to ignore spiritual principles for the sake of physical fulfillment. The Bible helps us recognize where real life is found by feeding every word of God with comfort, direction, and instruction. It is designed to help us read the Scriptures daily and to see what God said years ago to people who lived far away still peaks to the interst and needs of today

No offense, but this is a poor argument at best. There are authors who have written more than seven hundred books in their lifetime. Depending on which version of the Bible you're using, it's not likely to contain much more than eighty books, and some of those are pretty thin.
