How should I go about this?

Ok..this is kind of long, but if you read it and help me, you will be my hero!!

Well..December first, my school had a battle of the bands. At BOTBs, this metal band, Grimaced, performed. I had heard of them before (my best friend is good friends with the bassist), so I was happy to finally meet them and hear them play. I liked them, so I went home and added them on myspace. Then I left them a comment that included pictures from BOTBs that I had taken of the band. The lead singer messaged me and thanked me for the pictures (they were really good ones, might I add). So..I added him. Over the next few months, we proceeded to chat off and on for a bit, until finally we exhanged MSN screen names, and we've talked (very) regularly ever since. Well..I really like him now. As much more than just an MSN friend. He asked me to the movies once, but then had to cancel due to a practice he had with his new band. We haven't rescheduled yet, but I'm wondering if I should say something? If so..how???

next time u chat with him just casually mention that u guys havent gone to the movies yet and that if he still wants to then ur up for it

Yes! Definitely say something. He asked you out because he liked you!
You could bring it up by saying something like "Hey have you seen 300 yet? Want to go tomorrow?"
Or if he's into music, find a live band event or concert you both would enjoy and suggest it to him.

Try not to play it up. Don't make too much of it because you don't want to come off looking needy.
If it helps, you could also suggest something that your friends and his friends could join in. That way there is less awkwardness. For example, make plans with your friends to see a movie or concert and invite him along.

IF your really like this lucky MAn go for it don't pass it off your just MSN him as if you did before you explain to him were you've been and you would like to still make that date if he's still interested then of course he'll reschedule, don't blow it chicky what ever you do nothing worse then sitting back asking yourself "WHAT IF" GO FOR GIRL.... have fun!!!

before u start having any ideas hun..u should meet him with..hang around just as friends..do not come to any conclusions.Often we talk to people on the net and like them..but it just not might be the same as being friends with them in real life..we do not show our anger,attitudes etc over the net properly..we cant.Be friends with him..get to know him better!dont say anything now...see if u guys really click!good luck!:)

Don't take things too quickly. You've never actually met, right? Trust me, people can be AMAZINGLY different in person than on the internet. I'd be willing to go on the date with him, but just as a simple getting-to-know-each-other thing.

Start talking about a movie that's coming out. Like "hey, I'm so excited for ________"
Then he'll be like "yeah! me too!"
Then you go "let's go see it together! You owe me from last time anyway"
Then he'll be like "sure sounds fun!"
Then you sit at your computer blushing your cheeks off, and when the movie rolls around, you have the time of your life.
