It is said that old and new testament are God's revealed books given Moses and Jesus. The point is that the present Bible is the same that God had given it to them.I cant understand if it is from God then the errors and conflicts are also to be considered to be from him.I know that God is errorless, he is perfect and what he revealed should also be perfect,it is the time to think and make decissions and conclusions, and finding God.Peace be on u all

The original text IS perfect. Stop looking for perfection in English. I have studied the Bible for 35 years and I have found not a one contradiction. Most who come up with these contradictions have just passed them on via a simple cut and paste and have zero concept that they were even originally written in another language. How much Hebrew have they studied? Do they even know the Dead Sea Scrolls exist? Or the Septuagint? Have they cross referenced? Do they know what meticulous copying a scribe used to transfer the text from scroll to scroll? Or the idea that they could be killed for purposely altering it?

Don't hang your faith on man and his puny attempts to discredit God's Word. They do not know what they are doing. Now, consider it from their point-of-view. If the Bible is true, then there is a God who will judge on their last day. They assume, "destroy the message, you destroy God and etermal consequences. This is wishful thinking toward their own destruction.

Isaiah 34:16
"Search from the book of the LORD, and read: Not one of these shall fail; Not one shall lack her mate. For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them."

1 Corinthians 1:21
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

First, only the first 5 books of the Old testament are said to be written by Moses, the Pentatuch. Second, the new testament is not said to be God's revealed book given to Jesus. When Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, or one of their followers wrote the first few books of the new testament they were not sitting and waiting for God to tell them what to write. They simply wrote down all the things they remembered from following Jesus, all they had seen and heard. They were sharing their experiences with those around them as part of fulfilling the Great Commission. If 5 people saw the same accident on the street they would all describe it differently. If 5 people wrote books about their adventures with Jesus don't expect them to be exactly the same. God is perfect, but man is not. People are constantly saying errors and conflicts without giving any examples. It makes it really hard to give better answers. I hope your not asking about spelling errors.

When facing possible contradictions, it is important to remember that two statements can differ from each other without being contradictory.
Take, for instance, the case of the blind men at Jericho. Matthew relates how two blind men met Jesus, while both Mark and Luke mention only one. However, neither of these statements is wrong. They are complementary. Matthew chose to mention both of the men and Mark and Luke chose to only mention one of them.
There are many instances of supposed contradiction which can be explained if you study the Bible and know anything about the culture and customs of the day.
Another one is the detail of where Jesus' mother and the other women are while He is on the cross. Mark 15:40 says that were "looking on from afar" and John 19:25 says that they "stood by the cross". Some people like to see this as a contradiction. I see it as a simple fact that they all had two perfectly good legs which took them from "afar" down to "the cross". No contradiction here, just different authors mentioning different scenes in the same story.

Galileo was one of those prosecuted by the church because he said that the earth revolves around the sun. The Bible was written by some faithfuls to spread the messages, it was then selected and compiled, people believe it to be the true words of God because that is what has been told through out the ages, it is the same reason why the Muslims believes that the Quran is the true words of God. Moses also killed countless of men, women and children but you can justify all those killings, all you need is Faith. If Moses is truly the author of the Torah as believe, then he is the one who wrote about his meeting with God, all those miracles, parting of the sea, living in the desert etc etc. and you are told to believe in his biography without questions.

Great question.

There are many accounts in the Bible, which employ a literary device used by Jewish Old and New Testament writers called Midrash. Midrash is the substantive of the Hebrew word darash which means to search, to investigate, to study and, also, to expound on the fruits of the research. The aim of Midrash is to draw from Scripture a lesson for the present.

Midrash could also be defined as a "reflection on Scripture in the light of the actual situation of God's people and of the developments of God's action on its history." It proposes to explain the meaning of Scripture in the light of the later historical experience of God's people. This kind of interpretation often opened the door to embellishments of the sacred accounts, anachronisms, and a freedom in handling and maneuvering the data of tradition that were at times a little too candid and certainly very imaginative.

It is the theological or divine message which is important not the literal sense of the account.

Grace and peace!

The only perfect books of the bible are the original autographed copies by the inspired prophets who wrote them.

Translation errors do creep into the bible translations, yet the history of these versions is remarkable in their accuracy. Please review the sites below.

Many versions of the bible existed before the King James and the advent of mass printing.

Christian answer: It is the inspired word of god and man has written it down and sometimes blah blah blah, blah blah blah.

Real answer: The Bible was written entirely by man, as god does not exist. There are bound to be many errors and conflicts.

There may be parts of the Bible that appear to be in conflict but we must always look at the writer and the audience. there are things that make one wonder look at what Cain said about being thrown from Eden. it is impossible to have a complete record of time in one book. GOD gave us what we needed to learn to serve Him.

in accordance the gospel of Matthew, in quoting the prophecy in Isaiah 6:10, that is because of the fact "...the coronary heart of this people has substitute into uninteresting, with their ears they scarcely pay attention, and that they have got closed their eyes. otherwise, they might see with their eyes, pay attention with their ears, and comprehend with their coronary heart and return. And, i might heal them." it incredibly is initially in connection with the rebellious old covenant people, ALL of those of Judah and Israel (Isaiah a million:a million-9). And Jesus recites it to additionally confer with all the old covenant people for the time of His ministry. yet Romans a million:18-23 and 3:10-18 make it sparkling that only as all humanity refuses to nicely known God and honor Him by what has been made, this prophecy might likewise notice to all mankind. although, even with this sobering certainty, the Lord constantly choses to have mercy on some (Romans 9:15-18) and thereby reserves a remnant (Isaiah 4:2-6; 10:20-11:sixteen) of persons, who do incredibly pay attention and notice (Matthew 13:sixteen), for His very own call sake (Ezekiel 36:32-36), and for His very own glory to be printed (Ephesians a million:6). It became a similar with the disciples and others who accompanied Jesus for the time of His ministry, to boot as for each and each of the hot covenant people of God (Romans 15:20-21). i think that it incredibly is as close as you will get from the Bible to answering one in each of those question approximately God's motives, motives and intentions. although, it incredibly is in all risk only scratching the floor related to God's motives, because of the fact the Holy Scripture additionally says, "Who has huge-unfold the concepts of the Lord, or who has substitute into his counselor?" (Isaiah 40:13), and "My concepts are no longer your concepts, nor are your procedures My procedures. For because of the fact the heavens are greater than the earth, so are My procedures greater than your procedures, and My concepts than your concepts. " (Isaiah 55:8-9)
