I had really good luck with demonstrators from "Creative Memories".. they come to your home or you go to theirs..
I made tons of scrapbooks for my children who have families now and me.. also, "Stampin -Up has scrapbooking ideas and rubber stamps which are fun to use..

Creative Memories is one of the best, in my opinion, for different cutting tools and punches. They always have great ideas on their sites. You can put in your zip code and find a consultant near you. In addition, you can also order their products on line from a consultant and it won't cost you any different (you have to pay sales tax and shipping regardless).
Another place to find some scrap booking materials is Jo-Ann Fabrics. What is nice about them is that they will honor any competitor's coupons!
