My granny is 91. Last year the skin near the joint on her left hip got itchy and later on we discovered it has depressed and is black. Sometimes it oozes a little pus. She didn't want to go to the doctor, but I think this can be remedied with a topical solution. Can a doctor or medical expert advise me? Thanks!

When skin turns black, it's a sign of tissue death. What you describe sounds a lot like a pressure ulcer. Forget self medicating and topical treatments. Take grandma to her local emergency room ASAP.

If it is just some broken skin that has gotten infected use some Betadine to help the infection, then use some Medipulv, which is a powder that forms a scab so that the wound can heal underneath.
