Anyone who answers Evolution is saying they came from a long line of monkeys.

Dear zoology,
i think most people will answer this question based on their own personal convictions. i will not share mine but i feel that both evolution and creation should be taught. The truth is evolution has many theories and questions which are not answered and is taught as fact. Creation (particularly Biblical creation) has an answer for some of these theories which some find hard to believe- but that doesn't make evolution any more factual.
When we look at human beings The Big Bang has as much room to be questioned skeptically as the idea of an intelligent Creator.
i think in a day and age where people are so concerned about personal freedom and being politically correct- we ought to allow our kids to study both positions and make up their own minds.
A survey taken back about 10 years ago- revealed that over 50% of americans did not believe in evolution (that man did not comes from apes). People i think seem more opposed to the idea of "having God shoved down their throats" and i think its possible to teach Creation without teaching the beliefs of a specific religion.
Hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

Evolution as it is backed up by science. Religion has no place in public institutions like school. It is purely personal and private.
If you teach Christian Creationism why not Hindu, Buddhist and FSMism etc??? Also most (actually all I think) mainstream christian denominations accept evolution as see Genesis as symbolic/metaphor etc...so to teach creationism is to cater to the nutty fringe fundamentalists and not the majority...

If you mean in public schools, then evolution should be taught. It is the only theory currently accepted by the mainstream scientific community. Creationism and christianity both require belief in the supernatural, which should not be taught in public schools.
Not only that, but if one group's religious beliefs are taught, then all will have to be taught. How can we ask that of our teachers when they already don't have enough time to teach our children what they need to know?

Evolution!
Creationism is in no way shape or form science. If they want to teach Creationism they should put it in world studies or something. Creationism does not follow the scientific method and therefore can not be taught as science.

Evolution, it's based on factual scientific evidence. What would you teach in a creationism biology classroom? There’s no science or evidence behind the claim. But there are mountains of science and evidence against it. It sucks that Christians and other religious people get upset by evolution. It's a fact they need to just get over it. But even gravity and the heliocentric model were rejected by them I guess we should expect it.

Evolution should be taught because it is based on scientific evidence and discovery. Creation could be mentioned but as for teaching it that is up to the churches. There is no evidence for the belief of creationism.

I think all should be given weight in public schools. I believe the Book of Genesis but I wouldn't mind teaching evolution if we were given equal consideration.
Creationism is observational science. Evolution is historical science. Consider this. Your eyes could not work if even one part was not present. So if you go by evolution we would not have eyes because even if there had been an optic nerve the the begging it would have served no purpose and not have been a selected trait.

Taught by whom?
Schools: Evolution
Parents: Creation and Evolution
If the parents don't have the knowledge, than they need to ask their church why they are failing their members?
