i have a friend that trys to eat as healthy as they can. My friend stayed a weekend with me, with me finding out that she has a eating disorder. I can understand that someone can eat a lot when they are stressed out or have other problems. My friend eats at least double if not three times more than what is recommended daily. She has tried medications, diets, and a few other alternitive solutions, but nothing works. She wants to quit eating as much, but doesn't know where to start. Her doctor told her that she has disorder that may cause her to eat like this. Anyone ever heard of this or had this problem? Please be serious on when anwsering. Please no rude remarks. Thank you

Researchers now suspect people like her might not have enough of a certain enzyme in her stomach.
I believe it is called grelin, something like that. I saw it on a late night television on discovery or a show similar to it a year or more ago. They took samples of people who were obese and those who were not. The overweight people ALL had low levels of this enzyme, the slender ones had high levels.

my sister has this and she is a diabetic, her Dr gave a sample of this new stuff that's called BY ETTA( I THINK THAT IS THE WAY U SPELL IT), SHE HAS LOST about 60 LBS IN A MONTH IT IS MADE FROM LIZARD SALIVA I KNOW IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD OF THIS IT SOUNDS CRAZY BUT IN COMES IN SHOTS YOU GIVE TO YOURSELF! you see lizards live in the dessert and they don't eat much because they are slow so they have to go a long time before they get some food, makes sense if you read about it: because diabetics stay hungry all the time that's why most diabetics are obese ......i don't know if you have to be a diabetic to get this kind of medicine. good luck and i am also over weight and battle this depressing feeling everyday i don't eat much or get enough exercise i am fatigued all the time so my heart goes out to you more than you will know and i will pray for you also,.

Self-hypnosis? You can find information about it online. Or you can find someone locally to do the hypnosis, a professional. Also, I've heard that Hoodia is good for appetite suppression. Hmm....(I'm thinking?) Drink lots of water when you feel hungry to try to decrease the hunger. Stay busy... try to keep your mind off of food. I really don't know anything! Tell your friend I wish them the best. Good Luck!
