www.foodnetwork.com They can give you so many recipes using all manner of ingredients. One of them will probably work for you.
My father makes a great salad that you can probably get modified online. But basically it's rotini pasta "corkscrew" shapes, cooked and drained. Then in a salad bowl add mozzarella cheese, if you get sticks of string cheese you can cut them in bits and it works the same. add in sliced olives, dice green bell pepper and or fresh or jar red bell pepper depending upon price of produce in your area, as well as diced red (purple) or regular brown onion for flavor and mix together after pasta has cooled. You could also sprinkle parmesan cheese on top if you wish. For the dressing use your favorite Italian dressing, house, creamy anything will work. Use a couple tablespoons at most, or pour dressing and count to 2, just enough for pasta to be coated, not drowning. If you want more vegetables you can add in wedges of tomato and for added flavor in the presentation you can purchase pepperoni slices and set them on top like a modified antipasto salad.

CRABTASTIC PASTA SALAD
1/2 pound (8 ounces) corkscrew pasta
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup Italian dressing
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 green onions, chopped
1 large tomato, seeded and diced
1/2 cup chopped broccoli
1 large seedless cucumber, diced
2 cups imitation crabmeat, chopped
Cook pasta according to box directions; drain and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, Italian dressing, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, onions, tomato, broccoli, cucumber and crabmeat; stir until well blended.
Pour pasta into dressing mixture and toss until pasta is well coated.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
*Note: This recipe can be changed-up very easily. You could add cooked, diced chicken, shrimp or tuna instead of crabmeat. Also, you could turn this into a seafood salad by adding shrimp, tuna and crabmeat all three.

try this one, it's always a crowd favorite
Ham and Pea pasta salad
cook off 1# rotini pasta, make sure to use plenty of oil in the water and a lot of salt, i suggest a 1/4, when the pasta is al dente cool it off with cold water immediately, the salt should make it bitter, that's a good thing, it will bring out the flavor of the pasta
in a bowl mix together 1 cup of peas, 1 cup of diced ham, 1tbs of lawry's seasoning salt, 1tbs ground black pepper, 1/2 cup of mayo, 1/4 cup of ranch dressing and then mix it all together
i promise you'll love it

You might try this website for good pasta salad recipes:
http://www.epicurious.com/
I've tried a few of them and they're good. I'm particular to pasta with pesto sauce or mixed veggies in olive oil with artichoke hearts and capers.

basic is pasta and mayo, some pickle relish will add tang and help preserve. for chicken salad, put in boiled and slightly salted chicken slivers of white meat. for ham salad, then use cut-up ham. you then can have ham and chicken macaroni. then deviate using other hams, add raisins in. put good stuff as you can't go wrong
