Q. Any rules or laws for Traveling from USA, things I need to know about as far as traveling from one place to another.
A. a)Always use the meter in taxis. Never try an negotiate a price.
b)Have a visa before you [kinda obvious].
c) Never ever ever get the taxis from the airport. Many horror stories. There is a taxi rank outside - go straight there.
d) Never speak to the art students around beijing who try and talk to u to learn english. Most of them are con artist that are out to rip you off. They work on commission.
e) Never pay in $

Generally it is a very safe place. People may try and earn an extra couple of RMB off you just be a bit cautious like travelling to any developing country.

Q. recommended hotel within the 80 to 100 dollars a night near attraction or subway station?
A. With this type of budget you can stay pretty much anywhere. I would recommend Grand Hyatt, or possibly 贵兵酒店for a more authentic feel (think it is beijing hotel in english - maybe the one next to it?)

Q. Any information from anyone traveled the same destination is appreciated.
A. a) In regard to the previous comments. That word is 不要 pronounced Bu Yao [boo yao] and it means dont want. Although i would probably recommend 你好 first which means hello. Ni hao [nee hao].
b) Have fun. Its an amazing place.

For lodging , check out the Beijing News Plaza Hotel http://hotel.travelchinaguide.com/beijing-hotels/beijing-news-plaza-hotel-200608121506570713.htm#price. It's central to everything and has great values ($70 to $110/night) for very nice facilities/accommodations.

in case you want to stay in a touch more advantageous stylish position, i'd advise the classic downtown or on sunset (i imagine the downtown one is a lot more advantageous hip, even if) or on the W in Westwood. the classic is perchance more advantageous comparatively low-cost, even as The W is magnificent of their provider and breakfast room provider. They made me into the spoiled brat i'm immediately!
