Ditto on all the answers. Jesus realized that the people that carried out the crucifixion were obeying the men in charge and that all were ignorant of who He and His Heavenly Father were all about -- kinda like people who deny Him in the world today. He still loved them in spite of their ignorance and prayed to His Father for them WHILE He was suffering and dying!! That's Love!
