Is it normal?......... after being in a relationship with someone for a year..... then to the "let's just be friends" stage......now to the point that we can't be friends at all.

I can honestly say that I am still friends with most of my exes. I recently broke up with my last boyfriend about a week ago but we still talk. My friends think it is odd that I can still be friends with them but I have no problem with it. Now if I were still in love with him or if the relationship ended badly then that would be a different story. I ended most of my relationships because it wasn't going anywhere or we didn't have enough time for each other. A lot of my friends aren't friends with their exes but some of them are. It's possible to still be friends as long as you/they don't get jealous when you/they get a new boyfriend/girlfriend.

After being with my x for 2 years we broke up and stayed friends for a few months, then she went psycho on me and suddenly stopped talking for no reason. I think as long as no-one gets jealous and doesn't get weird people can always stay friends.
