In a nutshell:
best friends for 3 years, just recently found out we've liked each other the whole time but didn't know. feelings are mutual BUT decided not to risk everything now and have a relationship. Said he wanted a "long lasting real serious" one when the right time comes - not now.

He's HAPPY that we're best friends again because he said he can "talk to me about everything and anything again" and not like before where he didn't know what to do, say, and was more nervous around me. He mentioned (hinted) that beautiful girls intimedate boys and says that guys always check me out b/c i have "looks". He "fishes" for answers to see if i'm interested in anyone. He says, "would u get mad if i went out w. someone in a month, 2 months?" just to get my reaction - he responded, "if i ever break up with someone, at least you'll still always be here"
when i said, "everything's gonna be normal again - guys will be at me & you'll be the friend always there" - he sounded sad

**** he's the "shy boy" type*****

oh yeah and i think he's trying to get over me by talking to his old crushes (even though they are taken) because he knows i can bounce back easily with other guys...

He likes you but you both need to live your life and it is meant to be it will happen. But don't not date someone else just for his feelings.

Don't wait and save him for later in life!!!!

Truly good guys don't come around very often and it really sounds life your "best friend" is a keeper for sure. If you guys start to seperate, you may start to lose each other's friendships.

He obviously sounded sad because he really likes you A LOT and it hurt him to think that you only think of him as " the friend always there"... this reaction from him means that he doesn't just want to be "the friend"... he wants to be something more.

It may be really difficult to tell him your true emotions about how you feel about him (or how he feels about you)... but you need to take a brave chance and confess your feelings for him before he slips away...

GO GET HIM.... DON'T LET YOUR BEST FRIEND JUST SLIP THROUGH YOUR FINGERS!!!!

That sounds like me and my best friend we use to like eachother and he's not the shy type either. Fate will bring you guys 2gether because thats probably going to happen to me and my best friend.

He is weird and not interested in you as an intimate relationship
You need to find a real b/f who wants a intimate relationship.

pursue him, for crying out loud!
he may just be timid like 80%of us men.
although men by nature are hunters, it does help if you
make yourself an easy "prey."
