I went out for a walk tonight, part of the way through i decided to sprint for about a minute, after i stopped sprinting, i developed a sharp pain in my chest and my breathing was much more difficult than it should've been for the little ammount of exersize i did. about 15 minutes later, after i had returned to my room and was relaxing, the pain had almost subsided, but every time i tried to draw a breath, it took quite a bit of effort, almost like my throat was smaller and i had to pull harder to get the same ammount of air. eventually all my ailments went away, but this is the second time this has happened, ive read up on heart attacks as well as other things, and it doesnt seem like any of them, im 18 years old and mildly active.

You're never too young for heart problems. However, there are other things that cause chest pain and difficulty breathing. No one can diagnose this on a website. It's always safer to have the doctor check you out to find the cause.

Could be something like asthma...do you have any allergies? Sounds like an inflammatory response which would have the effect of that feeling of your airway closing off, because, in fact your bronchioles or breathing tubes if you will, are becoming narrower during this event...

Go to the hospital....soon! Heart attacks can happen to anyone regardless of age. It could be angina, but better to safe than sorry.
