"Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord." - Proverbs 12:22
The word 'abomination' means God hates it so much that he'll not have anything to do with it whatsoever, and yet we read that he himself puts a lying spirit into his own prophets.....
"Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee." - 1 Kings 22:23
He causes people to believe in delusions and lies.....
"God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned." - 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
"And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel." - Ezekiel 14:9
By his own admission, God himself causes them to lie and then destroys them for it.
Common sense alone makes the Bible look schizophrenic
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" - 2 Peter 3:9.
In 2 Thessalonians, these people have NO chance to receive the “good word”, because god is purposely preventing them from doing so.
"God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned." - 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
Some people use their logic to formulate conclusions,
and some people use conclusions to formulate their logic.

Just my in sight to this verse, and I want to specify this is only my interpretation, 1 Timothy 2:4 reads, who WANTS all men to be saved and come to knowledge of the the truth. If you continue to read more into this book, read on through chapter 3. This chapter speaks about Godlessness in the last days. Also here's another passage you might look over 2Corinthians 5: 6-10, 6: 14-18, Romans8: 5-17. These are but a few examples throughout the new testimate on how God's word clearly explains that not all will be saved. God clearly stated how some hearts were allowed to turn to stone, for his will to be accomplished. And that all who are called will not be saved. In Matthew, Mark, Luke Jesus clearly states that he was here to do the will of his father and that will was to save all that were given to him. And that whatever the Father gives to him will not be lost. Sometimes we read what we want to hear and do not continue on for fear of becoming more confused because it can be overwhelming at times. Please research further on and if you find anything in my answer to be contradicting to his word please do me the favor of correcting me. May God's grace lead you with an open heart and mind while you search for your answer.

There were two friends who both died. One went to the buddhist heaven, and the other went to a hell that consisted of a big boiling sea.
The one in heaven couldn't just leave her friend in hell, so she went there to get her out.
"You must have done at least one good thing in your life. What was it?" she asked her friend. "I once gave a mango to a monk" was her friend's reply. "So, let us meditate on that one good act. Let's focus on that mango." And so they did. Pretty soon, they were meditating on the mango so strong that it appeared above their heads, surrounded by light. Still they meditated.
The other creatures in that boiling hell saw the light, and they came to investigate. By that time, the two women were meditating on it so purely, that it began to rise, and take the women with it. As they rose, the other creatures in hell grabbed onto their feet and began to rise out of hell with them. Still the two women meditated on the mango.
The two women and all of the creatures escaped the boiling hell and were inches away from heaven, when the woman who had just been saved saw them and said, "Hey, you there! Let go of my feet. It's my mango and you don't deserve the good of it."
At that, the woman and all the other creatures went crashing back into that boiling hell.
So I say, I will have all men and women to be saved and come into knowledge of the truth.
Because it's MY mango.

Of course there is a hell. The Lord would love to have all men saved but it is your choice to follow Him or deny Him.

You would have to ignore all of the rest of the Bible to assume so. There not only is a Hell, but it is to be cast into the Lake of Fire.
That's a lot of information for something that isn't supposed to exist.

It's my personal belief that yes, hell definitely does exist. I don't know where it is found in the bible right off hand, but it does also say about God giving us the choice to come to know him, so I believe that that particular verse you are referring to is basically saying what God wants for everyone, but not necessarily what will happen to everyone..unless they have a conviction in their own heart first.

its so funny how people take things out of context. or dont read preceeding and latter verses. and then jump to wrong conclusions. the bottom line is you have to accept jesus christ as your lord and savior and believe that he died on the cross for yours and my sins. that is the only way, doesnt matter how good or nice you are. you wont enter the kingdom of God.

Jesus also said that He is the way, the truth and the light and no one comes to the Father except through him. He further said that he who follow Him shall not perish. Thus, ALL men shall be saved if ALL men follow Jesus.

Hell, is a state of mind. A lost person, (someone who is stuck in darkness and misery) is all ready in hell.. It is only a state of mind, just as heaven. We are only promised paradise, we are Earthbound since creation. (Earthbound only in the fact that we will never ascend into heaven. Outerspace is not heaven.)
