Choose- its easier than following Plotinus' proofs.

I'm 35 years old in the Lord. In the first years, I chose to believe. Then I was filled with the Holy Spirit and it became a living force within me. After that, the Bible came alive to me. Then, in my later years, I started getting into the proof the Bible offers for the skeptical mind. I have found countless proofs of the Bible's authenticity and trustworthyness. I now stand with Peter in saying, "Lord, where else can we go? Only You have the Words of eternal life."

Yes. I chose to believe. When I am propositioned as to another way, it seems to me to be an illogical choice. There has simply been too much in my life that would go against the relationship-- the fact thereof, that completely disovlves the trust of what I would have in another way.

You see, I've been convinced. I need no more searching unless it's going even deeper into the things of God. I actually love God. And to accept another way would be to betray Him.

I CHOOSE to believe that Jesus is God's only begotten Son. That He came to the earth as a human, became the blood sacrifice and died for my sins and that He now lives in Heaven with God. I choose to accept Him as my Lord and Savior. And I choose to follow Jesus as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Not open to anything else......

Im not personally open to possibility but Im open to OTHERS believing in a possibility. You understand? Because that would taint my belief in faith. I wouldn't knock someone else because of their belief but I will continue my walk with Christ and hope that it will inspire the next man, without being judgemental or close-minded.

Both. I've thought it over lots of times, and I still believe. Contrary to popular belief, Christians do have brains.

Hi Life Student. The Bible tells us that it is not us who chooses Him, it is Him who chooses us. God tells us in John 6:44, that no one can come to him unless he is drawn:

"No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

And God is very clear that he does not intend to draw everyone to Him. In Matthew 13:11-15 God warns us:

“Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which say ‘ Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; 15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them."

God is being very clear in this passage that there are many in the world who are going to receive eternal damnation.

I chose to believe, but I'm open-minded. I don't take all of the Bible literally, though I believe in all of it. I think a lot of it is metaphorical and symbolic.

I have been around a lot of years, most of which I was atheistic, so I guess you could say "I thought about it a whole lot"
