veterinarian said the list of foods is growing, unfortunately, and cases are growing. As menu foods did not stop this timebomb quickly, and the fact that there is little if any news coverage about this and no lists at the pet stores as you enter is a little disconcerning. i hope purina is ok. Its scary to think these are preventable deaths and illnesses,if the media would spread the word and the lists better,a nd get this stuff out of our cupboards.

I don't know but.... My cat eats fancy feast and friskies and he has been so sick. I took him to the vet and he now has kidney disease. I am just beside myself not knowing what to do. I have had him 14 years and he is my family. He started vomitting about 2 months ago and he has went from 19 pounds to 11 1/2 pounds. The foods that are listed in the recall are ones that I've never even heard of. I just am so upset over this my poor cat is dieing.

But, take this opportunity to switch to a higher quality food that uses ONLY human grade ingredients. Foods like Blue Buffalo (Petsmart), Natural Balance (PetCo) or Evo (various food shops) are human grade and contain no fillers. They aren't just the left overs like most grocery store and lower quality brands (like Iams and Science Diet).
Good luck to you and your kitty! : )

i agree with michael.
we also feed our cat fancy feast (wet) & iams dry food.
on thursday of last week we had to take her to the cat hospital after vomiting all day and running a high fever.
luckily she was released & is OK for now, but i definitely think it had to do with the fancy feast wet food. i'm tossing the entire box.

It's not on the list but I think it should be. Our cat died of sudden kidney failure two weeks ago. We fed her dry Iams and canned Fancy Feast.

No, only the cheap brands were included from one supplier. The good brands are not included in the recall.
