and there is no date or signature on it is it still valid
and do you have to pay for the ticket???

I'd look for a court date to contest this. Maybe the cop was in a hurry. I've read that most cops don't even show up if he doesn't remember the incodent, this sounds like his mind was on other things. Don't just go and pay it!

The question is: If there was a signature and valid date would you still pay it? If your answer to this question was "no" then go ahead and not pay that one. If your answer was "yes" then go ahead and not pay that one.

All that matters is if the person writing the ticket wrote down all of your info...I wouldn't risk it, you should pay just to be safe.

i would the police agency that wrote the ticket just to make sure its valid - number should be printed on the ticket usally at the top

Does it have your license plate # on it? You only have a copy of the citation, and so do they. If you did wrong, then stand up and take what you have coming.

if you dont pay it the fine will likley go up and maybe suspend your license
