I've been to several nude beaches in Jamaica. The thing about nude beaches is that usually, the people there are totally comfortable with their nudity (however attractive or unattractive they may be!) and usually don't really care about yours. Nude beaches are wonderfully affirming places, because when you're there you develop an appreciation for your body exactly the way it is. BTW, the first time I went to one, I went with my boss. It wasnt uncomfortable at all, in fact I think it made our working relationship a whole lot more relaxed. he never approached me or looked at me in a sexual way after that (I wonder if it was because he was unimpressed?!) but I found with that out of the way, there was little that could come between us. If you go, be confident. embrace the experience and just have fun. After all, its just your body, without clothes. good luck!

Haulover Beach, Miami.......We went to the Haulover Beach last month and took a chance on the weather as it called for showers on a couple of days. They were few and far between and the experience was just beautiful. Folks just congregate under the shelters or their umbrellas when it does rain, but it only lasted a short while. But there was lots of sun and it made for a very enjoyable trip to Haulover. Not having been there before we were surprised to find it so accessible. It truly is the Number 1 tourist attraction in Miami. Folks are respectful and friendly, but to not infringe on your privacy. Sure there are a few oddballs and gawkers, but they are easily outnumbered by the everyday people who come to the beach to enjoy it naturally. The water is warm, althought being from Atlantic Canada that may be relative to what we are used to. There were certainly more people than we usually see at a naturist beach, but it is almost a family type of atmosphere and you feel totally safe while at the beach. Great spot for first time naturists as you could see some timid ones that were not sure, but after a few minutes were completely nude. No one is concerned about your body type or its condition. Overall a very accepting place to be naked and enjoy the sun and water. Not to be missed if you enjoy the freedom of a naturist beach.

Check it out if you get the chance.

I must be missing something regarding this question...
but,
no... I have not been to a nudist beach... this just screams the question back though.......... ummm.........is there something special or better about them?
far as I know.... a "regular" beach and nudist both have; burning hot sand, ocean/sea, jelly fish once in a while, sea shells, maybe a crab or two creeping by pinching things, broken bottles, garbage, lots of people, towels laying about, an umbrella or two, lifeguards, babies, children, adults, sunshine, tanning oil......
with one I might get a more even tan.. or possibly burn in more sensitive places....
clothes or no clothes? people are people... beaches are beaches too... now if a nudist beach has something special like a dolphin who speaks english, gives rides, and spits gold out his mouth? then I will be right there... lol... other than that?
a beach is a beach....
thanks for listening
hope this has helped to answer that perplexing question
:)
edit added:
I guess I should note, my father was army so I lived in Germany/Europe for most of my younger childhood... and the "beaches" and pools are not really segregated.... meaning we would go to the pool and there would be as many nude bodies as clothed and more changing right next to the pool... so, really I have no problem/issue one way or the other.. don't see a reason for there to eb a "your beach" "my beach"
the only time I found any of the nudity disconcerting was in the Alps of Switzerland.... there were all the people bundled to the hilt to go sledding or skiing... except the few sunbathers... who were laying on reclining charis in the snow completely naked... bbrrrr... but then.... not me being cold, getting the perfect tan on top of the world (Swiss Alps) so, each to his or her own...

I did in Croatia - it was less crowded than the others.
I enjoyed it as much as I did any other beach...everyone is naked, just like you, and they weren't all skinny & toned etc.
I was on my own, so putting sunscreen on my back was just as awkward there as anywhere else. Putting sunscreen on other parts of my body was a little embarrassing - but not as bad as having sunburn would have been.
It was a strange but pleasant feeling going swimming in the nude.

I've been to a topless beach, but not willingly. In mainland Europe, nearly all beaches are nude or topless.
