You can take the cereal back to the supermarket you bought it at to get a refund. You should also know that it isn't unusual for 'critters' to get into ANY kind of packaged food. There are, in fact, guidelines manufacturers use that allows for a certain percentage of non-product 'organic' components. Believe it or not, humans consume insects with their food all the time. This includes foods packaged as 'health food'. Unless you can prove it is some type of parasite that can harm you, don't expect much in the way of a response from Kellogg's.

The concept that our foods are free of bacteria, organisms, and debris, is an illusion. I'll bet there's at least one roach leg ground up in my box of corn flakes right now. Although most humans (Americans especially) dislike the idea of consuming insects, there is generally nothing wrong with it. It isn't likely to make you physically sick. Insects are high in protein.

It could be a weevel, they live in wheat and will get into cereal. By the way, bugs get into cereal, they are chopped up cause the company can't get all those bugs out when havesting. Just call the company and they will probably give you a refund.

I'm sureitwas a weevil --you see them sometimes in flour or bread crumbs pasta, anything dry in the cereal family. Definitely notify the cereal company or you can just take it back tothe store and theywill replace it or give you your money back. Unfortunately, its just one of those things that happens. I have even seen them in chocolate bars!!! If you did actuallyeat one it wouldnt domuch to you other than to gross you out. Good luck -k-
