Rebellion and disobedience that's why. He didn't die for the sins of the world, it was for one particular sin. Specifically the sin of not knowing the one true God. The separation between God and man that Adam caused when he broke the only Law in the Garden. Jesus's work on the cross was to reconcile us, those who want it, back with the one and only True God. The sin spoken of is the sin of Adam that we have until the moment of salvation. But as far as "sin" in the world it is only getting worse because of disbelief and disobedience.

Jesus died to beat Satan. So that sin wouldn't be the reason we couldn't be with our creator.

The world is overflowing in it b/c Christians are sinners, b/c Atheists are sinners, b/c EVERYONE is a sinner. B/c you can't be perfect and should only try to progress, go forward. The only perfect man was crucified over 2000 yrs ago.

Jesus died to pay a debt we could not pay.

God Bless

Jesus died for our sins so that we may be forgiven
When Eve ate the apple that pretty much set the ground for sins and think about it like this...
When you have a child and you teach them certain things and they know right from wrong, yet they do something that totally goes against what you taught them, wouldnt you be dissapointed in them and very angry?
Well God gets angry at us when we sin and he wants his children to go to heaven, so he sent Jesus to die for our sins so that we can be forgiven and go to heaven to live with our father!!
Sorry if was a lil all over the place!
Hope it helps in any way!

Because we are made with a right to choose. Most people do not choose to accept as fact that the blood of Jesus cleanses all sins.
They choose to live in the present and with that comes sin and everything that goes along with sin: murder, adultery, lying, cheating, you name it.

Jesus didn't die for our dirty deeds, he died for us. Sinful acts, ie stealing, murder, adultery, are acts that flow from a sinful broken relationship with God. Jesus death is a provision to make possible a relationship with God. Jesus died for sinners who are living apart from God. Romans says the wages of sin is death. To be apart from God is being dead. Jesus actually physically died but conquered death so that death could not separate us from God. So even though we are dead, separate from God, there is hope in Christ. Yes the world is overflowing with sins, but more importantly the world is filled with people that have no relationship with God. In Genesis, the relationship between God and Eve was broken before she even took a bite of the apple, or did the deed. Read for yourself. When first tempted her response is of God's commands, because here attention is on God. After continued temptation her attention turns to all of the selfish benefits to eating it. Her attention is to herself and the relationship is broken. Out of that broken relationship she acts out selfishly, sinfully. Jesus died to bring us back into relationship with God. Enter into a relationship with God and your actions can't help but change. You don't have to change your actions before coming to God, but you do have to turn around. Repentance by definition is turning around.
