I don't think it matters but I'd wait until the first one was completely healed (few weeks maybe?). As you know you're not suppose to get your tattoo wet while it's healing, so depending on where it is, showering can become quite a challenge. Add another new tattoo to that and you might find yourself "showering" at the sink with a damp sponge. I'd wait until your first one heals so that while you're trying to keep your second one nice and dry in the shower, you dont have to worry so much about your other one getting a little wet.

I was told by my artist to wait as long as possible. Minimum time is 2-3 weeks...they recommended 3 months if I could wait that long though just so that your skin COMPLETELY heals before getting another tattoo. That is if you're getting an addition to your existing tattoo. I am not sure though if it's going to be in another place. Ask your tattoo artist.

As long as possible. After you're done contemplating the stupidity of the first one, you probably won't want a second one.
They're NOT worth it! Want to show your granddaughter a saggy, wrinkled tattoo of a skull being pierced by a dagger and explain to her why you thought it would be cool?
I have tattoos and I wish I didn't now. There's one on my right forearm that is merely a memorial to family members lost in the concentration camps, not violent, not racist, nothing, yet it has almost gotten me pulverized by a group of skinheads one time and a bunch of Jew haters another time.
Believe me, they're cool for the moment and that IS IT!

It depends on how quickly the other tat heals. I got tat #4 about a week and a half after getting tat #3. If you are planning on getting them far apart from eachother, there should not be a problem with getting them done one right after another. My advice is to consult with your tattoo artist for his/her suggestions.

I don't think there is a law for that, but for your own sake (and the pain when its' healing) wait until the first one heals before you get the second one (that should take no more than 3 weeks.)

There really isnt a time limit. If you have the money and a design you love then do it now. I didnt wait long before I got my second one, and I still love it.

I would say at least a week, because I swear they put drugs in the ink to make you addicted to them. The day I got my first one I was ready to go back and get another one. If my artist didn't make me make an apointment then I would have been back later that night.

however long you want to wait. i knew someone who got their first three tattoos in one week. as long as you can afford it and you know what you want then i say go for it. there is no reason to wait if you don't have to.

Assuming that it's not coloring in the first one, it doesn't really matter. If it is coloring, you should wait until your lining is completly finished healing.( A.k.a. No dead skin) Otherwise, tattoo your little heart out
