This is the most difficult question I've seen you ask, because this can't be expressed into words. If mere words could contain such a reality then there'd be no use of practicing what one preaches because the preach would be equal to the fulfillment of the practice.

The vague allusions which can be made are along the lines of, it must fulfill everyone's greatest need, or it is not the best, and will not, in the end, be accepted by comparison. In brief, religion must be the best of everything for everyone, and human variance demands different understanding of what religion is, let alone whether its true.

I am a christian because i know i need a Savior and He is Jesus Christ.
If you understood why God created us, you would bow down right now and worship Him.
This month will be a year that I have been born again.
Before that I was taught about God and Jesus, but now I know God and I know Jesus.
This question is hard to answer, because until you receive the Holy Spirit you will never understand.
Non-christians try to understand this with the natural mind.
Being a christian is spritual.
Going back and forth with these questions and answers is not getting anybody anywhere.
All I know is I'm not going to stop telling people about my Jesus who is the TRUTH.
My life before Christ was very incomplete, now with Christ,
He has changed my heart and my life.
I have hope, peace, joy, love, and freedom, so yes being a christian fulfills my need.
We have eternal life.

imagine receiving a gift from someone and never open it, and everytime you looked at it you wonder what it could be. then finally you give in and open it and it's the most beautiful
thing you have ever seen in your life, now you're thinking you wish you would have opened it sooner, because you realize you have been missing out.

God's gift to us is eternal life, we receive the gift, we open our
heart to Jesus, and we find that He is the most beautiful thing in the world.

So as a christian it's my responsiblity to tell others of God's gift.

Receive the gift, open your heart, because you don't know what you are missing.

It may fulfill (at times) a need for belonging to a community, but often, I achieve that better among my friends and classmates. A lot of people at my church are more conservative than I am. So it's not about that. My religion really helps me feel a sense of incredible connection to the divine, and spurs me toward researching my own spirituality, as well as that of others. I have always felt very religious since earliest childhood, and want to learn more about this spiritual drive that I have. I feel a deep sense of gratitude for my life, as well as for this planet I live on, and religion gives me a way of addressing that. I receive the peace of Christ, and bond with Him in the Holy Eucharist. Also, I love the beautiful art and aesthetics of my religion, in terms of the classical music and timeless works of art it has produced. Add to that the fact that many millions of dollars are raised for charity each year, and my religion becomes a very real way of helping others.

The main thing is simply that I know that the blood of Jesus has covered all my sins so I have no fear of death or judgment.

I belong to Jesus so I have no need to feel like I belong anywhere else. Being alone is fine, in a group or anywhere else because he is right beside me.
I am not right but he is. I made a choice, if others made a different choice that is between them and God so I never have to prove I am right. They will find out for themselves eventually.
Those are my honest thoughts

I adopted Hinduism as my religion because it best puts into words the spiritual experiences I have had and how that has shaped my perspective on life. As for what I get out of doing my sadhana (spiritual practices). I gain a sense of peace and awareness.

Excellent question!

Peace be with you.

I would be lost & perhaps dead already, if I didn't receive Gods healing & Gods blessed assurance.

Today the singer sang about God stamping us His own. And, I saw a vision of God stamping my forhead with the name Jesus. Also, earlier with ? about Gods love for me, and I praised God in Spirit in praise & worship. So, even though I am going through difficult things right now, God gives me special blessed assurance.

My faith in God is trusting God accepts me just as I am. The blood of Jesus makes me the righteousness of Christ. Christ Righteousness. Blessed are those who seek after righteousness, for they shall be over filled.

Im not a christian, or anything, I think religion is pointless and leads nowhere and fullfills nothing so why waste my time. It does not fulfill my need to be in a community because that need is nonexistant, same for acceptance, being "right or wrong", because there is no right or wrong. I do believe in a god, but not the bible, or any other foolish man made beliefs, other than my own. I think people need to start thinking for themselves, FEAR is what is holding them back and attaching them to their religions I believe.
