The majority of the guys I work with have been there at least 2 times some as many as 5 times and all of us are going back again soon. We have all lost friends or some one we knew and worked with over there. Our opinion is much different than that of other people who have not gone, because we have seen the improvements that we have been fighting for. We all want to go back and all want to see it through to the end. The end being a independent, secure Iraq. There is more good being done there than the media will lead you to believe. So, No, America needs to stay and be prepared to be there for a lot longer.
May we have the patients, wisdom and courage to finish.

we shouldnt just up and leave all at once, that wouldnt help anything, but as of right now, the war in Iraq has not made America safer in any way at all, and the middle east as a region has become even less stable than it was before.
i dont understand why Bush wont allow a timetable. when you have a job to do, whatever that job is, you should have some kind of schedule that you'd like to meet. it doesnt mean that if you cant get the job done in that time that you give up, but it gives you a goal. the senate and congress both want to try to set a goal of the troops leaving by september of '08. thats a year and a half away. dick cheney keeps talking about how great things are going, why not try to get things done in another year and a half? we need to force the iraqi people to get things into gear so they can take care of themselves. if we make them feel that we're there forever, they'll never learn to handle themselves, not a complicated idea.
the reason they wont allow it is because this war probably cant be won by our military presence. its going to be a political, economic, and diplomatic solution that will help things out. and that doesnt mean that the whole thing will be fixed in iraq/iran and the surrounding areas. that conflict wont stop for decades to come.
the men that started this war were foolish to think that anything they did in that region would make things better for any part of the world. sure, saddam was a bad guy, and i'm glad he's gone, but it didnt take a genius to know that removing him would cause massive problems. we should have let his own people take him out, then agreed to help with the rebuilding. instead we're an occupying force, we're unwelcome in iraq, and the rest of the world has lost all respect for us.
by the way, after all this time, still no Osama. and the bush cabinet has openly admitted there were no WMD's, and Saddam and Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. the men that attacked us were from saudi arabia. so, how is the Iraq war related to the "war on terror" exactly? you cant have a war on an idea. its like saying "we're starting the war on sadness", or "the war on boredom", you just plain cant stop a person from feeling a certain way. there will always be terrorists, for the rest of human existance. the iraq war is not making america safer in any way.
i agree with the whole "whats the end?" idea. they keep saying we need to stay till this is taken care of..... well, what does that mean?
we're gonna just stand around with guns and send more and more americans to fight, and somehow that will just make everyone there smiles and sunshine, and then everything will be ok?? we need an entirely new plan, and we need to set goals based on a schedule of when we can leave this in the hands of the iraqi people,

America needs to pull out the reason being that this war could turn into a civil war and I don't want to see my sons fighting for a war that their father has alright fought in... Most of all if you have not had a love one or fought in this war then you should not say that we should fight until the end

There really is no end to this war. We are not fighting political radicals, we are fighting religious radicals. The reason we cannot win and this cannot end is because the very insurgents we fight every day feel that the greatest glory they could achieve is to martyr themselves. They feel that killing themselves along with as many innocents as they can will deliver them to paradise and bring great honor to their families. The best we can do is to stay in Iraq until the countries security forces are strong enough to at the very least "contain" the attacks that occur every day. This is not likely that they will ever be able to do this and this is a country that will more than likely fight this civil war until it has destroyed all of its inhabitants.

WHY do no longer WE ASK OUR infantrymen OVER IN IRAQ that are DOING THE job AND RISKING THEIR LIVES? JOHN WARNER was once considered one of MY FAVORITES. yet NOW he's DOING issues that are actually not PATRIOTIC. i'm VERY shocked AT many of the failings he's DOING AND asserting. there replaced into A military CHAPLAIN THAT replaced into utilising A NAVAL PAMPHLET AT A FUNERAL AND WARNER HAD HIM courtroom MARTIAL ED because of the fact HE USED THE call OF JESUS . THE CHAPLAIN replaced into examining OUT OF THE military'S very own MANUEL THE call OF THE CHAPLAIN replaced into KLINGHAUSER , i think of... HE OF each and every person could comprehend how necessary it extremely is to stay IN IRAQ till it extremely is STABILIZED.

It's an Imaginary war.
An Imaginary enemy.
And an Imaginary Victory.
It doesn't even qualify to be called a WAR.
It's an illegal intervention against UN charts and against human rights declarations.
An adventure of amateurs at best..
It's a lot more like a nightmare imposed by warmongers, that has no ending and no positive ending.
The only remarkable outcome is the number of dead soldiers coming home, the number of maimed for life American for a true waste of humanity.

There's a middle ground here. Pulling out completely now would be a mistake. Sending more troops over probably wasn't the best of ideas. A change in approach is necessary.
There will never really be an "end." There never really is in situations like this. But stabilizing the situation is key. Once we get to that point and can assist with re-building infrastructure, then they can start sending back troops in small groups.
We are in this for the long haul, and I think that's a harsh reality a lot of people aren't willing to accept.

It is not the media that is saying Iraq is still on the downhill deterioration , it's the actual mood of the Iraqis , perhaps you will be convinced when you come back next time in a plastic bag.. are you any different than the 6 US service men killed this weekend?

That is a never ending war, all the troops should come home and let the Iraqies alone. If they can't handle their own business, why should we.
