There are a few ways that you can do this. Buy Arm and Hammer Pet Odor and Hair Remover carpet cleaner that sprinkles on and then vacuum. If this doesnt work get a lint brush and pick up the stragglers. The bedding should be thrown in the washer and then the dryer. Make sure to clean out lint trap so hair can be collected.

A short fluff in the dryer for the bedding and either a good vacuum or sticky lint roller for the furniture, thats what I use but I prefer the vacuum for the furniture and the lint roller for my clothes! I vacuum pretty much every day because I have ALOT of pet hair around.. 4 cats and 3 dogs.. man thats the only thing I hate is all that hair!!

PS I find the best way to vacuum up pet hair off of furniture is to use no attachment at all, specially not the brush one it just makes the hair stick more 'cause of static.. I just use the tube with no attachment and kinda do it on an angle with the vacuum tube almost parallel to the surface you are vacuuming. Works like a charm! Good luck with all that hair!

Comb your cat often to help remove excess hair. Pet with damp hands to remove more.

You can use a good vacuum cleaner, sticky rollers or masking tape or one-way lint brushes or damp sponges or laundering.

What I try to do is vacuum the floors often. I don't have much of a problem because my cat and my furniture and bed linens are about the same color as the cat. I'm thinking of just wearing that color, too. It's like camouflage.

A damp kitchen sponge works well. Equally as good and it has the added benefit of removing the hair from the cat during grooming before it gets on your furnishings is a curry brush such as Groom-Zoom. If you mist spray the furniture with water (you can add a drop of scented oil if you like), then brush with the curry-brush it should remove it. A rubber glove works equally as well if the chair is misted with water first.

Other than that, a sticky lint roller will remove the hair in a jiffy and is good for clothes as well.

The very best way is to put on a pair or rubber gloves, run your hand in one direction over the cat hair. It will roll up and can easily be picked off. No rubber gloves handy? A slightly damp cloth will work just as well. A vacuum cleaner will not get much of it off. Another thing that works pretty well is to use a pets hair brush. The brush will pick it up. Always brush in one direction.

Ancient technique:
rap duck tape round an old kitchen roll holder so that the sticky side is out then roll it across your furniture (or clothing) and it picks up the hair very quickly and any other stuff. either that or buy a lint roller.

The best thing I've found is a 'curry comb'. Used for grooming horses, it is actually THE BEST thing for getting fur off you furniture, carpet, and any other fabrics.
Lint rollers are good, but I got tired of replacing the sticky paper all the time.
Check this link out to see the curry comb in action on fur.

Besides the sticky roller tape thingy (which is great!) another technique I use is packing (masking?) tape. Just cut a 6 inch strip and press onto the area where the hairs are. Can be used a few times. It helps!

Keep your cat off the furniture, of course! Sorry, I know that was a smart *** comment.
